About The Berean Table

The Berean Table exists to help ordinary Christians study the Bible deeply and joyfully. The name is drawn from Acts 17:11, where the believers in Berea “received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.” They were commended not for taking things on hearsay, but for going to the Scriptures themselves. That is the invitation here: pull up a chair to the table, open the Word, and examine it for yourself.

What you’ll find

The heart of the site is a growing library of verse-by-verse studies through books of the Bible — beginning with the Gospels of Matthew and Mark — along with studies in the Psalms and resources for men’s ministry. Each passage is offered in two forms: a full deep study that works carefully through the text, its context, and its theology; and a short summary handout with key insights, applications, and discussion questions for groups.

The studies stand in the historic Reformed tradition and are written to be faithful to Scripture, rich in substance, and useful whether you’re studying on your own, leading a group, or preparing to teach.
