Ezekiel

Ezekiel, a priest among the exiles by the Chebar canal, sees the glory of the LORD enthroned above the cherubim and is sent as a watchman to a rebellious house. His visions and sign-acts announce judgment on Jerusalem for her idolatry and bloodshed — the departing glory, the siege enacted, the sword of the LORD — while holding out the promise of a new heart and a new spirit. The oracles then turn against the nations, from Tyre to Egypt, before the watchman is renewed and the fall of Jerusalem is reported. The book rises to its great hope: the shepherd God who seeks his scattered flock, the valley of dry bones raised to life, the defeat of Gog, and the vision of a new temple from which a river flows to heal the land — the city whose name is The LORD Is There. Each chapter has a full deep study and a short summary handout.
