Lamentations
Lamentations gathers five poems of grief over the fall of Jerusalem and the burning of the temple — the lonely city sitting in ashes, the Lord who has become like an enemy, the daughter of Zion pouring out her heart. Yet at the very center, in the depths of sorrow, hope breaks through: “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” The book teaches the people of God how to grieve honestly, to own their sin, and to keep hoping in his covenant mercy. Each chapter has a full deep study and a short summary handout.
